Website Design
Most organisations have had some sort of website for years. Let's face it, the internet has been around for quite some time now. Long enough to become both complex and demanding. So much so that it is often a point of shameful neglect in small business marketing. Don't I know it - "the designer's website is never done..."
Still - it is a tremendous resource that should not be undervalued! You know you need to have a strategy to make use of the internet, but where do you begin?
That's where I come in - helping you to see the possibilities and form a plan that suits your budget and achieves your desired outcomes. Through the breifing process we can explore what your needs are and maybe uncover some things you hadn't thought of! Sometimes the website is an extension of an existing brand with well established logo and other collateral materials, other times we start from the ground up and develop your brand identity as part of the process.
Like most things in business, or life in general for that matter, getting a good return requires some investment of time and money. But with the right help we can optimise the use of both and achieve a web resource that enhances your organisations online presence.
Search Engine Optimisation (S.E.O.)
S.E.O. is also vitally important. Many people will make out like this is some form of black magic that no-one else knows how to do.
In very basic terms what it comes down to is this:
- have good, relevant, well written content on your pages. Use words that people are likely to search for in the first paragraphs of your pages.
- Use detailed and unique page titles (the TITLE tag).
- Use good descriptions in your DESCRIPTION meta tag.
- Forget about the KEYWORDS meta tag - no Search Engines use it because it is prone to abuse (irrelevant keywords used to get listings).
- Keep adding new content - old pages drop off the ranking and Search Engines like new content. Video content in particular can pop up near the top.
